Another quick trip to Zurich this week meant lunch at the beautiful Hiltl. The Hiltl only serves an abundance of beautiful vegetarian food from all over the world – so delicious! The decor was amazing, elegant and organic. I loved the grand views into the kitchen and galleys through the big open windows in the central atrium. Perfection!

Then a trip to Switzerland for the day Monday xxx

Established in 1836, Sprungli is a decadent coffee house and confectioners in the heart of Zurich. Its building and atmosphere evokes old European charm. The interior chocolate shop and patisserie is clad in dark woods and bronze stairwells with tall ornate mirrors. The top floor cafe, is a busy yet elegant room, with floor to ceiling Art Nouveau windows letting the cool European light in. Traditional walnut veneer coffee tables are arranged intimately with silver ware and grand tea sets out on display.

The patisserie and confiserie’s best sellers are the “Kerrs Keugli”, the most delicate and flavourful cheese tart ever made, the famous “Luxumbourgeli” macaroons which come in citron, caramel, hazelnut, mocca, raspberry, vanilla and chocolate…. and finally the “Grand Cru” truffles – yum!
