Household Bugs

RSH

These are bugs that would be handy to have around! Should you happen to need a  paperclip or a lightbulb… you could just grab a passing bug!

Household bugs are cleverly created by illustrator Robert Samuel Hanson using household items. Robert seems to love replacing the expected with the unexpected so that they fit together – also check out his version of the Alphabet.

Illustration Tuesday… Art and Ghosts

Art and Ghosts

I think I’ve just met my artistic soulmate… Louise Robinson’s illustrates under the banner of Art and Ghosts and creates the most ethereal digital art. Her imagery features wide eyed long haired children and sometimes gentle animals, in supernatural and surreal situations. To me they have a Japanese Manga art quality about them coupled with a whimsical Victoriana narrative.

The images are surreal yet soothing, some are macabre but amusing.
