Strange and lovely porcelain vessels from French company Sambaron…

I love these simple and unique vessels by Atelier Oker also the producer of the tingle tangle spoons. The forms are wheel thrown in white stoneware clay and the rims are curved into a natural curl by stretching the leather-hard clay. The inside is glazed with a homemade glossy white glaze and forms a perfect contrast with the satin outside.

I can hear the birds cheep all day on these long spring days, what if one day you looked out of the window and saw each and every one had magically turned into these pretty, pretty porcelain and gold lustre birdies? Unlikely but quite wonderful to imagine…
