I think it’s time I wrapped up this rattan obsession once and for all (pun sort of intended). Cane, rattan and wicker are absolutely everywhere and I have yet to meet any interiors fan that does not go into meltdown when they see an image of a cane object on Instagram.
I saw smatterings of it years ago at trade shows in Paris in the form of vintage cane mirrors and vintage chairs which acted as props for collections that had everyone talking. Then Ikea launched that great black cane armchair and then that showstopper of a bed from Anthropologie included below. Finally these images of the headboards at the new Hotel Panache in Paris tipped me over the edge. I had to get some closure.
So here’s the ultimate Rattan Roundup with 21 cane beauties for you to feast your eyes on and an unlikely contender for a treasure trove of cane pieces – La Redoute Home. You’re welcome!
