Good morning – just a quick post about this today as most of you will have seen my excitement on social media yesterday.
Last week, the loveliest producer from BBC Radio 4 got in touch asking if I would take part in a segment about the popularity of interiors due to social media. My initial reaction is always to say ‘What me?! No way! I’ve never done that before, move along please.’ but out of my mouth came ‘Yes sure!’. It turned out that BBC Radio 4 is a pretty big deal and I discovered as the week went on that quite a LOT of people listen to it… (3.5million for that segment in fact). I began to feel a bit nervous…
Fast forward to yesterday morning, some scribbled notes, a sleepless night and the most fun chats about my favourite subject Interiors and Social Media in a pretty epic venue – The BBC Broadcasting House in the heart of London. I also got to connect with fellow blogger Kimberly Duran who writes Swoonworthy – she was really nice, has a cool American accent and a totally different maximalist style to mine which was nice to bounce off in the interview.
Being a blogger/freelancer can be a pretty solo job so my motto is… ‘when opportunity arises say yes!’ Click the image above to listen to our segment around the 13.10 mark. Or just go here.
