Finding the Natural in Vinyl Flooring

CarpetRight

I have long been the champion for natural materials in the home – real wood, real marble – I have even been quoted in a n interview recently saying ” I think you should spend the most you can afford on the bare bones of a house” however our kitchen being the last room in our flat to be renovated [yippee!] we are feeling less than enthusiastic about spending as much as we did on the rest of the home. That certainly goes for the flooring which in the rest of the home is real wood, marble and tiles but we are considering thinking about modern style vinyl flooring which is considerably cheaper. These days however – cheap vinyl needn’t mean nasty vinyl.

Carpet Right has a great collection of modern style vinyl flooring that is far removed from the dodgy vinyl we associate with the word. The range includes everything from elegant Parquet effect flooring to textured stone surfaces and rustic wood styles with incredible wood grain details.

I actually have slate-effect vinyl flooring in my bathrooms as budget didn’t allow for tiles. The warm feeling underfoot and the ease of cleaning really shouldn’t be underestimated.

I actually used wood effect vinyl flooring as my children are young and would have bashed the hell out of a real wood floor!
