Is it just me or has the sofa bed been the least appealing piece of furniture to invest in for as long as time began? Uncomfortable on both sitting and sleeping counts and unsure of its identity – sofa beds are generally a bit of a pain in the ass and often an afterthought.
However, I need to step up my game – we are having many visitors this summer and our spare room needs re-thinking. Our spare room already has a sofa from our last move that were reluctant to get rid of, when guests come to stay we pump up an air bed which is so big it takes up the entire room and we have to pound it down so it fits it in around the sofa – nightmare! Time to upgrade? I think so!
Good old some lovely options that I would be pleased to have as a sofa as much as a bed…
This gorgeous Oslo daybed in dark grey fabric definitely solves the style problem. I love its versatility if you need to put it in your living room – it’s not ‘another sofa’ but adds its own style. A contemporary single daybed, it folds out to become a kingsize bed!
I would love this buttoned Zack Sofabed even if it wasn’t a sofa bed, which is saying something about sofa-beds right?!
I always have a problem with the price of single seater sofas, they always seem overpriced for their single status. This Bizet Snuggler Bed in a lovely Ochre is £999 but obviously doubles as a sofa bed – double value for money yipee!
