I have a real thing about embroidered table linens at the moment. handcrafted, modern heirloomy ones that are small works of art.

Brooklyn homeware brand Coral and Tusk have an abundant collection of sweetly ‘illustrated’ cocktail napkins, regular napkins and runners featuring charming embroidered animals, critters and motifs in nature like feathers and falling leaves. The details ar so exquisite, i feel they could easily be framed as wall art.

A cocktail napkin set such as the below Animal Wreath Set retails for $120.

I also love this set of linens from LA creative Heather Taylor, who has recently launched a collection of cocktail and dinner napkins, place mats and table runners. Made from unprocessed linen they are hand-embroidered in India with folkloric motifs shot through with bright contemporary colours.

Such a nice addition to a family homes kitchen table, and I must say its saved my table from the dreaded finger painting a few times!
