Manglam Arts

I visited the Ambiente trade fair in Frankfurt last week and fell in love with a soft furnishings exhibitor from Jaipur in India – Manglam Arts

They showed an exquisite collection of contemporary prints with traditional roots in ikat, batik and other dye techniques. I loved their display¬† of indigo and grey textiles…

I attended Bubble at the Islington Business Design Centre last week for work. Bubble is  a trade fair showcasing established and emerging kids lifestyle brands from the UK, Europe and the US. I loved this trade show, it was sweet, inspiring and miniature versions of every day items are hard to resist!

Lucky Boy Sunday

One of the brands I fell in love with was Lucky Boy Sunday - a Danish kids accessories brand that creates knitted cushions, softies, blankets and other quirky knitted items for kids. I really liked their dark and humorous approach to their collections bulbous bodied characters and sinister moustached men adorn pillows, whilst knitted hands with six fingers adorn keyrings and astonished looking creatures feature on dolls. I really admire a brand who are not afraid to tap into a child’s wicked imagination!
