French illustrator Carine Brankowitz’s work is simply epic. Patriotic in it’s aesthetic, she uses red white and blue in ways I’ve never seen! I remember mastering this cartoony rendering technique at college, using shading to create the illusion of high shine on objects and textures – but Carine manages to use it in such a sophisticated way.
Having worked for clients such as Vogue, Nokia and French Indie bands Carine’s work is young and stylised and fashion led. I love how she draws hair and her extensive detailing of patterns.
I defy you to think in any other colours but red white and blue for the rest of the day!
