Yesterday I discovered the totally talented Scandinavian design studio TAF headed by Gabriella Gustafson and Mattias StÃ¥hlbom. I realised that they had already created many ‘future classics’ of our generation… the E27 light, the Foto lamp and the Can light.
Browsing through their amazing portfolio of work I came across one that intrigued and attracted me, their playful ‘Soft Parcel’ collection. Designed for Rossana Orlandi, the collection was a simple discovery of wrapping foam in fabric to form tidy parcels. The parcels in turn were soft and worked as modules to build different comfortable seating possibilities. When the trolley is loaded with ‘parcels’ it takes on the form of an easy chair!
I love the styling of these promotional pictures in a post room too, the effect is just so calming. Who doesn’t love the look of tidy brown paper parcels filled with promise?
