One of the things I admire about Ikea the most is their ability to think outside the box.
This February their textile range will reveal a new collaboration with designer Asa Ekstrom. Asa works as an illustrator and specialises in Japanese comics [manga] with a Swedish touch!
The CHARLOTTA fabric with retail at £3.99 per metre and the motifs in the collection will be a wild mixture of Japanese popular culture and Scandinavian nature. The patterns have traces of everything from old Japanese woodcuts to origami, tattoo art and modern kitsch.
I think I like the collaboration of this print the most, combining Scandinavian style moose and ominous looking Ravens from Manga art.
