Running around London last night on a deadline of press shows I knew I had to walk past the new Anthropologie on Regent Street, and was dreading it! I hadn’t been there as yet and it wasn’t on my schedule for the evening with so much else to fit in, but resist it I could not – and as soon as I saw the sign, my heart dragged me inside!
I allowed myself a quick look around and managed to take a few snaps. Surprisingly given its three stories the shop space felt quite cosy and intimate. The visuals were amazing as expected, with a wild-outdoors theme – walls covered in abundant green moss and foliage, wooden logs dotted about the place, and with beautiful bears and speckled whales taking centre stage as frothy paper smoke spilled out of corners.
There were so many other details to discover that I didn’t have time to document as Anthropologie’s creativity seems endless.
Homewares and accessories were certainly on the expensive side, but Anthropologie’s originality can’t be matched, with numbered storage jars, iron owl hooks, illustrated tableware and on-trend linens. I literally wanted everything I touched, and it was really refreshing to finally have access to the quirky bohemian style that is so prevalent in the US homewares industry. This kind of stock is just not available anywhere under one roof in Britain, and I have to say that I did not once think ‘oh they have one of those in…’
Welcome to London Anthropologie! We love you!

It’s here…
A Visit to Merci
