I was going to save this till tomorrow but I literally couldn’t wait! Last night I discovered one of the most amazing new textile artists at the Handmade in Britain show at Chelsea Town Hall [more on the show tomorrow].
These gems come from the lovely Fiona Douglas and her watercolour inspired floral prints, translated onto wallhangings, chairs and cushions. Having graduated only two years ago I couldn’t believe the finesse and strong style apparent in her products. I’m not usually a fan of bright florals, but Fiona’s designs have just the right combination of abstract strokes and contemporary colouring to render them perfect!
Fiona is definitely one to watch, I can’t wait to watch her brand grow!
