Marco Di Rienzo and and Siobhan Trewick moved to Brighton two years ago to bring up their small twins. At that time Siobhan sold vintage clothing through Liberty and Marco worked in the City. On arrival in Brighton, they decided to turn their passion for design into a business, and so The Lollipop Shoppe was launched.
Selling an eclectic mix of stunning, 20th century contemporary furniture from international design brands such as as Vitra, Knoll International, Swedese, Carl Hansen & Son and David Design amongst others and lighting by Louis Poulsen, Elio Martinelli, Zero Lighting, VerPan and Secto Design. Smaller homeware items range from the iconic to the eclectic are provided from the likes of Iittala, Stelton, Rosendahl and Design House Stockholm, to name a few. The Lollipop Shoppe also has an online store to buy from.
I spoke to Siobhan about her home life and interests…
I collect… Mid Century Scandinavian glass and ceramics.
I cant live without… my Blackberry.
My guilty pleasure is… fashion magazines. I buy them all!
Our house is filled with… Lego, Power Rangers and Hans Wegner furniture.
I treasure my… children.
Right now I can’t stop thinking about… the new collection from Hundreds Tens Units.
Currently I am reading… Monocle.
My favourite item of clothing is… my vintage Chanel Pea Coat.
At the top of my furniture wish list is… a PXL table light by Fredrik Mattson for Zero lighting.
The last thing that really inspired me was… a recent trip to Paris, the shopping experience there screams individuality rather than conformity.
My comfort food is… my mother-in-laws lasagne.
On my desk are… lots of pieces of paper for filing and a Studio Ilse desk lamp.
This weekend I will… be spending quality time with my family.
Tonight I must… relax.
I love what I do because… I am surrounded by beautiful objects and interesting people.
