Perusing the wonderful Martha Stewart’s site for Halloween inspiration, I came across some fun and original DIY ideas aided by Martha’s easy to download templates [with this potential postal strike however, you might need to send them by Owl Mail. Hee!].
These ‘Message in a Bottle Invitations’ are so pretty yet sinister, Make these using big or as small medicine bottles and filling with tea stained messages using these templates. These would be great for placing mysteriously on a work colleagues desk.
These creepy ‘Mad Scientist Invitations’ are created using floral or plastic test tubes, plastic bugs and a childlike splatter method. See here for full instructions.
These clever ‘Skeleton Invitations’ are created using simply thick card, a skeleton template and silver or white ink pens. Oh and pins so their arms jangle about!
These menacing looking ‘Owl Invitations’ are created in much the same way as the skeletons, except echoing with the frightening sound of whooshing wings instead of knocking bones!
