My Inside Life…The Biscuiteers

If you haven’t tried some of these… do so immediately – they will change your life! The Biscuiteers produce beautiful tins of fresh and delicious handmade iced-biscuits which come in original collections; a box of ‘creepy crawlies’ for gardeners, a box full of poodles for dog lovers, iced tea cups for tea lovers, cooking utensils for cooks and charming designs for any occasion.

Chief Biscuiteer Harriet Hastings and husband Stevie co-founded The Biscuiteers in 2007 after the success of their catering company Lettice. With four children and two successful businesses, they juggle their time between their houses in London and Suffolk. Harriet answers a few of our questions…

Harriet Hastings

I collect… bits and pieces for my children’s childhood boxes, teeth, certificates, letters, paintings that sort of thing.

I can’t live without… coffee in the morning and the people i love.

My guilty pleasure is…
wine.

Our house is filled with… colour, light and some favourite bits of modern furniture.

I treasure… my family.

Right now I can’t stop thinking about…
Christmas marketing campaigns, postal strikes and where we might go on holiday next year.

Currently I am reading… The Children’s Book A.S Byatt.

My favourite item of clothing is… old Agnes B leather jacket.

At the top of my furniture wish list is…
a new bed

The last thing that really inspired me was…
walking in Autumn sunshine in Suffolk.

My comfort food is… home made hamburgers.

On my desk are…
some very untidy piles of paper.

This weekend I will…
go to Suffolk and probably go walking and riding.

Tonight I will…
help the children to do their homework,  try and finish my own  work and then hopefully catch up with BBC dramatisation of Emma.

I love what I do because…
I like working for myself and because I enjoy creating the biscuit collections and spreading a bit of biscuit happiness!
