All I seem to want to do is drink tea right now – I’ve never had an addictive personality – one cup of coffee at my desk in the morning and one tea at 4pm, [regimented yes, but addictive no] frankly i’m shocked at myself. It’s like my body’s gone ‘Ding! It’s getting dark a little early these days, five cups of tea a day please!’. Mortifying. Therefore, I am getting through quite a few tea-cups throughout the week and you know, my old Pantone mugs – even if I do have one in every colour, really have lost that element of surprise! No matter how many mugs or cups you have in the house, don’t you find that there is just one that creeps into your lap every morning urging you to ignore the rest? Even if I have 6 of the same – for some reason I will just use that one mug over and over again…is it just me?

So anyway, here as promised, is our very special ‘Special Mug Roundup!’. 20 great new mugs for you to peruse, all charming in their own way, sitting there, hoping that one of them will find their way into your heart to get you through the winter. I’m really loving Jamie Oliver’s new subtle graphic mug [no.4] but I think I set my sights on no.3 earlier on last week and just can’t seem to move past it. I’m coming to get you Lovebird cup!

Has anyone else seen any nice mugs I can add to the list?

The tea that comes from this bone china cup and saucer always seems to taste better, and I love the cattish tongue in cheek humour.
