As usual Studio Ilse launched a nothing short of remarkable furniture collection, at this years London Design Festival. The ‘Seating for Eating’ range was inspired by vernacular English seating and consists of solid chestnut settles, benches and stools. The graceful settles are high backed for comfort and privacy, without being closed off from the room. The collection will reside in Leila’s Shop [a rustic deli in East London] from September 23rd till November 1st.
These have such a ‘Dickensian parlour’ charm about them, I wish I could fit one in my living room!
