My Storybook House
I just found this house sitting in my drafts. I can’t remember where I found it but I had titled it ‘Practical Magic House’. I recall it being an artists’ home in France. It embodies completely the house in one of my favourite books and films ‘Practical Magic’ by Alice Hoffman. The rambling old house in a small Massachusetts town is central to the story. Having housed generations of pagan witches it is well loved and worn, with bottles and jars and herbs and flowers tumbling out of every crevice. I suppose it is the film that really brings the house to life. (how many times did i say ‘house’ then? I really don’t think it could be helped).
How could you ever be unhappy if you lived here…

* I wish the week was longer. As much as i’m eager to get to LA I have so much to do…
* No time to read, even my tube journeys these past few weeks haven’t been long enough to get into anything but the Metro.
* Wish I could snuggle up somewhere peaceful for a few hours this afternoon then wake up and it would still be midday.

How delicious does this creamed corned recipe look by Kitchen Sink? Perfect for the Summer/Autumn crossover. I love chives too much!

Exhausted from the weekend, woke up from a deep sleep this morning. David’s brother and now sister-in-law got married on Saturday and it was the most perfect day!
Haven’t got the energy to blog much today but I spent a day last week re-potting my plants and thought I would share my favourite one with you…re-potted in a cookie jar found in a charity shop. The feel of fresh earth is just so theraputic. Have a peaceful Monday.
