Feeling slightly re-juvinated this afternoon…i LOVE this simple DIY project from Design Sponge – turning a plain Ikea set of drawers into a Mid-Century desirable!

I was shooting on one of the hottest days of the year yesterday so i’m exhausted today. Can’t seem to write much… so here’s some eye candy – a beautiful letterpress whale print from Enormous Champion. So calming.

We have my second favourite flower in the house – Hydrangia (my first is Antique Rose).

My new succulent is still teeny but doing well.

This weekend we booked our tickets to Las Vegas for our friend’s wedding. I am so excited! We are staying in Vegas for a few nights then driving across the Nevada Desert into Los Angeles to see the sights and eat good food…then onto Santa Barbara for one night where we are staying at an amazing seaside hotel…then along the Pacific Coast Highway to San Francisco! What a holiday I cannot wait!

I am most excited however about staying at the Roosevelt Hotel in Hollywood…built in 1927 it hosted the first every Academy Awards and was the playground of luminaries such as Clark Gable and Marilyn Monroe. It just oozes old school glamour to this day! Can’t you just hear the good old days in the distance?
