Oh i am desperate to visit beautiful and quirky ceramic boutique Astier de Villiate in Rue Saint-Honore, Paris! The shop and its interiors just look so inspirational, i love their wall display…

Golden, golden sticky syrup yum! Why does it get everywhere…on all surfaces, door handles, computer keys, the floor…delicious but mischevous!

I HAVE to have maple syrup on my pancakes and Dave will only touch the classic sugar eand lemon. How do you eat yours?

I need a new mug (ok need may not be the operative word). This is so beautifully made and has such a classic retro shape – from the lovely California based Heath Ceramics.

[EDIT] Heath Ceramics is one of the few remaining mid-century potters in existance today. Can you imagine that they have any troubles in life…potters producing extremely sought after Mid-Century ceramics in sunny California? Sigh.

I haven’t visited Little Paper Planes for a while now – so when i did i was blown away by their smart new ‘gallery’ look. It somehow even makes the art work look more exclusive. It’s amazing what a bit of clever customising can do. I love these prints from the site – especially Alyson Fox’s Umbrellas print – her work has such a quiet contemplative quality about it.

At Fortnum and Mason over the weekend, I discovered Jane Carr’s beautifully designed scarves with these amazing geometric diamond and gem patterns on them. I can’t believe i’ve never noticed her work before…for me this was one of those products in life that you feel if you had designed it you would have done it exactly the same way.

In research I discovered neon colours and pop art aesthetics are her usual style but im glad the first time i saw her accessories it was in these subtle colourways…i don’t know if i could decide which colour to pick…maybe the white – very comic book chic (i have a feeling Seth Cohen would approve)!
