Food for thought

I think i am becoming slowly and steadily obsessed by food…I have been looking at a lot of food photography and food blogs lately – they are just so inspiring. I particularly like reading the blogs as they are delightfully informal and in these winter months when you’re forced to stay in, there’s nothing better than trying out real recipes with beautiful but again real photographs to encourage you.

Since Jamie i guess, there has been a food revolution – of cooks producing simply written books with home-made style imagery. One’s i am currently using are; Bake by Rachel Allen (i’ve tried the baked garlic and lemon chicken with pilaf rice and of course red velvet cake) and The Vicar’s Wife Cookbook (so far the Leeky Mash was so tasty and i love the name!) and the imagery is stunning.

Here are a few yummy dishes from one of my favourite food blogs The Travellers Lunchbox
