I’ve been looking at Rob Ryan’s work lately, and although initially (during the Rob Ryan craze) i didn’t warm to his work, thinking it too twee and crafty and sentimental…after exploring more of his work i now think it’s kind of cool. Rob Ryan creates illustrations through clever papercrafting and romantic words. What i like is that his work seems to function in so many clever forms – plates, tiles, vases, jewellery for Tatty Devine. I especially like his new walnut carved keys – such a great gift at £30.
